As a graduate from the Paris School of Business, Sophie Muret was first a consultant in recruitment consultancy agencies.
In May 2019, with her series “No Staging, just Undressing”, Sophie was unveiled in Arles. Making herself known through her strongly singular photography, Sophie Muret accelerated the development of her artistic project. sophiemuretphotography.com

On the 3rd of July 2020, with the opening of Gallery La Belle Étoile in Arles, a globally well renowned city, a temple for photography, Sophie Muret’s adventure takes an additional leap forward. There, she organises contemporary art and photography exhibitions with international artists.
During the Rencontres D’Arles photography festival in 2021, La Belle Étoile welcomed the winning piece of the Swiss Life prize à 4 mains, “Le Bleu du ciel”. Additionally, in 2023, the gallery received the Grand Prix Eurazeo during the Rencontres d’Arles.

It is in 2020 that Sophie Muret initiated and created the concept of In-Corpus Photography, the matrix for her first Festival initiated in Arles in 2021. The declared objective: to, through the medium of photography, wake consciousness with regards to the relationship between the body and being; and to promote international contemporary photography. To the simple question “Who are you, where do you come from?”, Sophie replies “I am happy to be here, I live, I see, I feel, I breath, I think and plentifully experience life. I am the Artist of my Soul.
